Gift Acceptance Policy
Effective Date: June 9, 2026
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Gift Acceptance Policy is to define the guidelines under which Cuffs 2 Crypto, Inc. (the "Organization") will accept gifts from donors, ensuring that all contributions align with the mission, values, and legal requirements of our 501(c)(3) non-profit status.
2. General Principles
The Organization encourages the solicitation and acceptance of gifts that will help further its mission.
- The Organization reserves the right to decline any gift that is not in the best interest of the Organization, or that places an undue burden or risk upon the Organization.
- No gift will be accepted if it violates the Organization's status as a tax-exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Code.
3. Accepted Gift Types
| Gift Category | Guidelines for Acceptance |
|---|---|
| Cash / Checks | Accepted in any amount. Checks should be made payable to Cuffs 2 Crypto, Inc. |
| Digital Assets (Crypto) | Accepted via the authorized Organization digital wallet. Donors must acknowledge that digital asset values can be volatile and that the Organization is not liable for fluctuations between donation time and liquidation. |
| Publicly Traded Securities | Accepted if marketable and transferable. |
| In-Kind Gifts | Accepted if relevant to the mission and if the Organization can utilize the items without incurring excessive storage or maintenance costs. |
4. Digital Asset Specifics
Given the nature of Cuffs 2 Crypto, Inc., we maintain specialized procedures for cryptocurrency donations:
- All crypto donations are subject to immediate or scheduled liquidation based on Board-approved treasury policies.
- Donors are responsible for any applicable tax reporting and valuation requirements for their own filings.
5. Restrictions and Ethics
The Organization will not accept gifts that:
- Require the Organization to provide personal benefits to the donor or their designees.
- Are restricted by the donor in a way that is inconsistent with the Organization's mission.
- Subject the Organization to potential legal, financial, or reputational harm.
6. Donor Acknowledgement
The Organization will provide appropriate tax receipts for all accepted gifts in accordance with IRS requirements. It is the responsibility of the donor to consult with their professional tax advisor regarding the tax-deductibility of their gift.
7. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed periodically by the Board of Directors to ensure it remains compliant with changing laws and organizational needs.
